About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and efficient Logistics Scheduler to join their operations team in Stoke-on-Trent . This critical role involves the planning and coordination of all transportation activities, ensuring that deliveries are made on time and resources are utilized effectively. You will be responsible for managing driver schedules, optimizing routes, and communicating with various departments to ensure smooth operational flow within the Driving & Transport sector. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at managing complex scheduling requirements in a demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain efficient daily and weekly schedules for delivery drivers and vehicles.
• Optimize delivery routes to minimize travel time and fuel consumption while maximizing delivery efficiency.
• Coordinate with sales, warehouse, and customer service teams to ensure timely pickup and delivery of goods.
• Monitor driver progress and make real-time adjustments to schedules as needed due to unforeseen circumstances.
• Maintain accurate records of all scheduling activities, driver hours, and delivery confirmations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in logistics, scheduling, or dispatch within the Driving & Transport industry is preferred.
• Proficiency with scheduling software and transportation management systems (TMS).
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing operational needs.
