Logistics Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is looking for a motivated and experienced Logistics Supervisor to oversee daily operations within their busy facility in Edinburgh . This role involves managing a team of warehouse staff, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining high standards of productivity and safety. You will play a key part in coordinating shipments, managing inventory, and implementing process improvements. This hybrid role requires a balance of on-site leadership and remote administrative duties, offering a dynamic work experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the daily activities of warehouse staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
• Monitor workflow, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve operational efficiency and throughput.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and security regulations within the warehouse.
• Oversee the accurate picking, packing, and dispatch of goods, ensuring order accuracy and timely delivery.
• Manage inventory control processes, including stocktaking, cycle counts, and discrepancy resolution.
• Provide training and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of performance and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a supervisory role within a logistics or warehouse environment.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and shipping procedures.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, managing both on-site and remote responsibilities.
