Our client is looking for an experienced and motivated Logistics Team Lead to guide and support a team of logistics professionals in Southampton . This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring team productivity, and maintaining high standards of service within the logistics department. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage a team of logistics operatives, providing guidance and support.
- Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, dispatch, and inventory management.
- Ensure that all logistics operations are carried out efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company policies.
- Monitor team performance, set objectives, and conduct regular performance reviews.
- Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching and development to existing staff.
- Resolve operational issues and escalate complex problems to management when necessary.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead role within logistics or warehousing.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and shipping procedures.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is desirable.
