Logistics Team Leader

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Logistics Team Leader to supervise a team within their busy distribution centre in Bradford . This role requires a proactive individual who can guide and support their team to achieve daily operational targets, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day activities, resolving operational issues, and fostering a positive and productive team environment. This hybrid role allows for a blend of on-site leadership and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and motivate a team of warehouse operatives to meet performance targets.
• Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, order fulfillment, and dispatch.
• Ensure all team members adhere to health, safety, and company procedures.
• Monitor team performance, identify training needs, and provide constructive feedback.
• Assist in managing inventory accuracy and stock control processes.
• Resolve operational issues and escalate complex problems to management as needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role within a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Good understanding of warehouse operations and health & safety procedures.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
