About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and experienced Loss Adjuster to join their team serving the Belfast area. This critical role involves investigating insurance claims, determining the cause and extent of loss or damage, and negotiating settlements with policyholders. You will be instrumental in ensuring that claims are handled fairly, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulations. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and excellent interpersonal abilities to manage diverse cases and maintain client satisfaction. You will be a key representative of the company in the field and within the Belfast office.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections to assess damage to property and assets resulting from insured events.
• Investigate the circumstances surrounding claims to determine coverage and liability.
• Prepare detailed reports outlining findings, damage assessments, and recommended settlement amounts.
• Negotiate settlements with policyholders and their representatives in a fair and professional manner.
• Maintain accurate and organized claim files, ensuring all documentation is complete and up-to-date.
• Liaise with legal counsel, engineers, and other experts as required to support claim resolution.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Loss Adjuster or in a similar claims investigation role.
• Solid understanding of insurance policies, claims procedures, and relevant legislation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent report-writing and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage time effectively and work autonomously, with a degree of flexibility for site visits.
• Relevant professional qualifications or certifications in loss adjusting are preferred.
