Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

Location: Torquay. Start Date: ASAP. Salary: £90 - £120 per day.

About the role

Do you have a passion for supporting children and young people with special educational needs? Are you confident managing challenging behaviour in a calm and positive manner? If so, this flexible Learning Support Assistant role in a specialist SEND school may be for you.

Responsibilities

• Support children or young people with SEND, including SEMH, Autism and ADHD.
• Implement strategies to manage challenging behaviour in an educational or care setting.
• Adapt teaching and support to meet the needs of different classroom environments.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, including SEMH, Autism and ADHD.
• Experience managing challenging behaviour in an educational or care setting.
• A calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A genuine passion for supporting children to achieve their full potential.
