M&E Contracts Manager
Location: Essex & East London
Salary: Up to £85,000 + Package

The Role
An established M&E contractor is looking to appoint an experienced M&E Contracts Manager to oversee a portfolio of projects across Essex and East London.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Contracts Manager with either a Mechanical or Electrical bias to take responsibility for the successful delivery of approximately 3-4 projects at any one time, with individual project values ranging from £100k to £1m.
The successful candidate will take overall responsibility for project delivery, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the delivery of multiple M&E projects across Essex and East London.
- Manage approximately 3-4 live projects simultaneously.
- Take projects from pre-construction and procurement through to completion and handover.
- Manage and support Project Managers, Site Managers, supervisors and subcontractors.
- Monitor project programmes, budgets, labour and resources.
- Coordinate procurement of materials, plant and subcontract packages.
- Attend and lead client and project progress meetings.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and the wider supply chain.
- Identify and manage project risks, variations and programme issues.
- Work closely with the commercial team to ensure projects remain financially successful.
- Ensure all works comply with relevant Health & Safety requirements.
- Oversee testing, commissioning, snagging and final project handover.
Experience
- Previous experience working as an M&E Contracts Manager, Mechanical Contracts Manager or Electrical Contracts Manager.
- Strong Mechanical or Electrical building services background.
- Demonstrable experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience delivering M&E projects from initial stages through to completion.
- Strong understanding of project programmes, procurement and commercial management.
- Experience managing site teams and subcontractors.
- Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage project budgets and variations.
- Ability to work independently and take full ownership of project delivery.
