M & E Manager / Building Services Manager
Location: Manchester
Salary: Competitive + Excellent Package
A leading Tier 1 construction contractor is seeking an experienced M&E Manager / Building Services Manager to join its growing team in Manchester.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile, technically complex construction projects across the North West, taking responsibility for the delivery and coordination of mechanical and electrical building services from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.
The Role
Working closely with the Project Director, Construction Manager and wider project team, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of all M&E and building services elements across major construction schemes.
Key responsibilities will include:
Managing the design, coordination and delivery of mechanical and electrical services.
Reviewing technical designs, specifications and installation proposals.
Coordinating M&E subcontractors and specialist supply chain partners.
Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Driving procurement, programme and commissioning activities.
Working closely with design, commercial and construction teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Identifying and resolving technical and coordination challenges.
Managing quality assurance, testing, commissioning and final handover.
Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, standards and project requirements.
Supporting the successful delivery of complex, high-value construction projects.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will ideally have:
Previous experience as an M&E Manager, Building Services Manager or similar within a main contracting environment.
Strong technical knowledge across mechanical, electrical and building services systems.
Experience delivering complex commercial, residential, mixed-use, healthcare, education or other major construction projects.
Excellent coordination, planning and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
A proactive and collaborative approach to project delivery.
