Salary: £27,500 per annum Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm Location: Ashford Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Permanent

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and detail‑focused Machine Operative/Picker to join our team on a permanent basis. In this role, you will be responsible for cutting cardboard materials and soft gaskets using a hydraulic press, as well as carrying out general picking and packing duties.

Key Responsibilities

Operating a hydraulic press to cut cardboard material and soft gasket products Ensuring accuracy and precision in all cutting tasks Picking, packing, labelling, and preparing orders for dispatch Managing stock and maintaining a tidy working area Handling lifting tasks (not heavy lifting) as part of daily operations Following safety procedures and maintaining quality standards

Requirements

Strong accuracy and attention to detail Good numeracy skills Previous experience in machine operation, warehouse, or manufacturing environments (desirable) Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn
