Machine Operator

About the Role

Our client is looking for dedicated and skilled Machine Operators to join their busy manufacturing plant in Portsmouth . In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various production machinery to ensure efficient and high-quality output. You will play a critical part in the manufacturing process, from setting up machines to monitoring their performance and ensuring safety protocols are followed. The ideal candidate will be reliable, possess good technical aptitude, and be committed to contributing to a productive and safe working environment, ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines and the consistent delivery of our products.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor specialized production machinery according to established procedures.
• Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Load raw materials and unload finished products from machines.
• Identify and report any machine malfunctions or production issues to supervisors promptly.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure efficiency and safety.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Machine Operator or in a similar manufacturing role.
• Ability to understand and follow technical instructions and operating manuals.
• Good manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude.
• Awareness of workplace safety procedures.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills for recording production data.
