About the Role
Our client is recruiting reliable and diligent Machine Operators to join their manufacturing team in Glasgow . You will be responsible for operating and maintaining various production machines, ensuring that they run smoothly and produce high-quality output. This role is crucial for the day-to-day operations of the plant, contributing directly to the successful manufacturing of products. We are looking for individuals who are safety-conscious, possess good mechanical aptitude, and are eager to contribute to a productive team environment. This position offers practical, hands-on experience in a core manufacturing function.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production machinery according to established procedures.
- Perform routine checks on machines to ensure they are functioning correctly and safely.
- Identify and report any machine malfunctions or quality defects immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Work with team members to achieve production targets and deadlines.
- Assist with loading raw materials and unloading finished products.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Machine Operator is an advantage but not essential; full training will be provided.
- Ability to follow instructions and work procedures accurately.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations in an industrial setting.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform basic machine adjustments.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
