Pay: £13.00 per hour Contract: 6 months initially Hours: Full-time 12-hour shifts, working on a rotating day and night shift pattern Start: Immediate Positions: 10 Potential: Permanent opportunities available We are currently recruiting for 10 Machine Operators / Production & Packaging Operatives to join a busy and well-established packaging manufacturing operation based in Segensworth, Fareham . This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in manufacturing, production, packaging, packing, machine operation or converting . The role is initially offered on a 6-month contract , with the potential for a permanent position for the right candidates . Full training and opportunities for development and progression are available. The Role Working within a busy manufacturing and packaging environment, you will work 12-hour shifts on a rotating day and night shift pattern . Duties may include: Operating and monitoring production and packaging machinery Packing and preparing finished products Feeding materials into production machinery Setting up and adjusting machinery Carrying out quality checks Monitoring production output and quality Labelling, coding and packaging products Weighing, wrapping and palletising finished goods Handling raw materials, film and production reels Slitting, rewinding and converting packaging materials Identifying and reporting machine faults Removing and recording production scrap Maintaining a clean and organised working area Working towards production targets and deadlines Following health & safety and production procedures Working flexibly across day and night shifts as part of a rotating shift pattern Machinery & Production Processes Depending on your experience, you may work with: Flexographic printing machinery Adhesive lamination machinery Bag-making and converting machinery Slitting and rewinding equipment Packaging and production machinery Automated material-handling equipment Labelling and coding equipment Weighing, wrapping and palletisation equipment Experience We welcome candidates from a variety of backgrounds, including: Machine Operator / Machine Operative Production Operative Packaging Operative Packing Operative Manufacturing Operative Factory Operative Production Line Operator Process Operative Converting Operative Slitter Operator Machine Setter/Operator Experience in flexible packaging, slitting/rewinding, flexographic printing, lamination, bag making or converting would be particularly advantageous. However, candidates with general production, packing or manufacturing experience who are reliable and willing to learn will also be considered.
