About the Role
Our client requires diligent and safety-conscious Machine Operators for their manufacturing facility in Plymouth . This is a crucial role in the production process, involving the operation and monitoring of specialized machinery to produce high-quality goods. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up machines, performing quality checks, and ensuring operational efficiency while adhering to strict safety protocols. You will be an integral part of the production team, contributing directly to the company's output and product standards in a busy industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor production machinery according to specifications.
- Perform routine quality checks on products to ensure they meet required standards.
- Identify and report any machine malfunctions or quality defects promptly.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area , adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all tasks.
- Assist with basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
Requirements
- Previous experience operating manufacturing machinery is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to follow instructions and work accurately.
- Good observational skills and attention to detail.
- Understanding of basic health and safety procedures in an industrial environment.
- Willingness to work shifts and as part of a team.
