Job Description
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Machine Setter to join our production team. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a varied role within a busy manufacturing environment.
The role
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for the efficient and accurate setup of production machinery. You will also train and support employees in the safe and effective operation of production equipment, helping to ensure consistent working practices across the team.
You will play an important part in maintaining high standards of health and safety, quality and productivity while supporting the continued development of your colleagues.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Knowledge and experience of production machinery and equipment
* Good knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements and safe working practices
* Experience of working towards and achieving production KPIs
* The ability to train, coach and support colleagues
* Strong problem-solving skills
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* A patient, methodical and organised approach
* The ability to prioritise workloads effectively
* A quality-focused, “right first time” mindset
* A positive, can-do attitude
* A willingness to support colleagues and work as part of a team
