Machinist – S43, Chesterfield

We are currently looking for an experienced and reliable Machinist to join our team based in the S43 area of Chesterfield.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong engineering/manufacturing background who takes pride in producing high-quality work and is confident working in a busy workshop environment.

The Role

As a Machinist, your responsibilities will include:

• Operating and setting machinery safely and efficiently

• Machining components to required specifications and tolerances

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings

• Carrying out quality checks on finished components

• Using workshop tools and measuring equipment

• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment

• Working as part of a team to meet production targets and deadlines

• Following all company health & safety procedures

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience working as a Machinist within a manufacturing or engineering environment

• Can read and understand engineering drawings

• Has good attention to detail and takes pride in their work

• Is reliable, hardworking and able to work independently

• Has a good understanding of workshop health & safety

• Must hold a valid FLT (Forklift Truck) licence

• Previous experience with relevant machinery would be advantageous
