Job Role of the Maintenance Engineer
A superb opportunity has arisen for aMaintenance Engineerto join a supportive and collaborative senior team within a busy FMCG manufacturing site. The company prides itself on a positive working culture where teamwork and mutual respect are at the centre of daily operations.
As a maintenance engineer on the evening shift,you will be a part of the team responsible for attending breakdowns and scheduled planned maintenance of all production machinery. The team will ensuremaximum machinery uptime and driving continuous improvement across the facility. You will be responsible for overseeing both electrical and mechanical maintenance activities, planned preventative maintenance schedules.
Non‑Negotiable Requirements of the Maintenance Engineer
- Proven maintenance engineering within an FMCG or industrial manufacturing environment.
- Strong background in both reactive and planned maintenance within a fast-paced factory.
Essential Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding knowledge.
- Recognised Engineering qualification (Electrical or Mechanical).
- Experience working on maintenance systems, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
Desirable Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer
- Previous experience working as a maintenance engineer in the UK.
- Experience working with PLCs and the ability to support fault-finding activities.
- Knowledge of CMMS systems and budget management.
