About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent and proactive Maintenance Engineer to become a vital part of their operations in Leeds . This hands-on role focuses on ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of critical equipment and systems across various company sites. You will be responsible for executing planned preventative maintenance schedules, diagnosing and rectifying faults, and implementing improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency. This position requires a skilled individual who can work independently or as part of a team, contributing to a safe and productive working environment within the Leeds area.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on a range of machinery and equipment.
- Identify, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns to minimize operational disruption.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, including work orders and parts usage.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with operational teams to schedule maintenance activities with minimal impact on production.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role, with a strong understanding of various systems.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
