Maintenance Engineer

Salary: Up to £42k

Location: Kendal

Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday, occasional weekend work, paid at OT rates

Orion is partnered with a fast‑paced manufacturing business located in Kendal which is recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join the team.

All applicants must have the right to work in the UK and have a minimum of 1 year’s experience working in the UK in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of production/manufacturing machinery in a busy plant environment
• Work proactively to maintain and repair equipment across the plant facility
• Perform PPMs, manage breakdowns, carry out repairs

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience working with industrial machinery in a manufacturing environment
• Confidence with electrical and mechanical fault‑finding
• Experience stripping and rebuilding machinery
• Reliable and flexible attitude to work
