Maintenance Engineer
Location: Dundalk
Salary up to €69,000
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a highly regulated manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring all planned and reactive maintenance activities are completed efficiently, safely, and to cGMP standards, supporting the ongoing reliability and performance of facilities, utilities, and production equipment. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining operational excellence, supporting new equipment installations, and working closely with production teams to minimise downtime and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
*Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance activities on production, facility, and utility equipment
*Troubleshoot equipment faults and work closely with production teams to resolve issues quickly and effectively
*Support the installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment, including participation in FAT and SAT activities
*Develop subject matter expertise (SME) for assigned equipment and systems
*Monitor, review, and trend equipment performance to identify opportunities for improvement
*Maintain agreed stock levels of critical spare parts
*Complete maintenance reports, logbooks, and associated documentation accurately and in compliance with cGMP requirements
*Liaise with external contractors to ensure work is completed safely and in accordance with procedures and H&S standards
*Monitor and manage BMS and EMS systems, responding to alarms and escalating issues where required
*Deliver training on relevant SOPs and ensure training records are maintained within the LMS system
Requirements
*HNC/HND, apprenticeship, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or related Engineering discipline
*Previous maintenance engineering experience within a manufacturing, pharmaceutical, life sciences, food, or other regulated environment
*Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
*Knowledge of preventative maintenance systems and engineering best practices
*Understanding of cGMP requirements and compliance standards
