Maintenance Engineer
Monday- Friday (9am - 5.30pm)
Alexander Steele are delighted to be supporting an FMCG manufacturing business in their search for a Maintenance Engineer.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance activities to ensure maximum equipment reliability and minimal production downtime.
Key Responsibilities
* Respond to breakdowns and complete fault-finding activities.
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and performance.
* Utilise the CMMS system to manage work orders, maintenance records, and spare parts.
* Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety, food safety, and site standards.
* Maintain engineering tools and equipment in a safe working condition.
* Work closely with production teams to maximise plant performance.
* Support engineering projects and other maintenance activities as required.
Skills & Experience
* Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong mechanical and/or electrical fault-finding skills.
* Knowledge of pneumatics, bearings, electrical control systems, and process equipment.
* Experience using CMMS systems.
* A proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
* FMCG experience.
* Engineering qualifications (electrical or mechanical).
* Experience driving continuous improvement activities
