About the Role
Our client requires a diligent Maintenance Engineer to support their operations in Belfast . This role is vital for ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of plant machinery and equipment. You will be responsible for conducting routine inspections, performing preventative maintenance, and executing repairs to minimize downtime. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical or electrical aptitude, coupled with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high operational standards within the facility. This hybrid role allows for a blend of on-site work and administrative tasks from a home base, supporting the maintenance department effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on various types of industrial machinery.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults on plant equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and implement preventative measures.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and equipment status.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergencies.
- Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer or in a similar technical role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical controls.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Flexibility to work on-site in Belfast and manage administrative tasks remotely.
