About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Engineer to join their team, with a focus on providing remote support and analysis for their operations in Derby, Derbyshire . This role is crucial for optimising equipment performance, diagnosing issues remotely, and supporting on-site teams with complex maintenance challenges. You will leverage diagnostic tools and data analysis to proactively identify potential problems and develop solutions, contributing significantly to the efficiency and reliability of our client's assets. Key Responsibilities
- Provide remote diagnostic support for mechanical and electrical equipment failures.
- Analyze maintenance data and performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Develop and document troubleshooting procedures and repair strategies for complex issues.
- Liaise with on-site technicians and engineers to guide them through maintenance and repair processes.
- Assist in the planning and scheduling of preventative maintenance tasks based on remote analysis.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance processes and equipment reliability.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer or in a similar technical role, with a strong emphasis on diagnostics.
- Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and potentially control systems .
- Proficiency in using diagnostic software, data analysis tools, and remote support platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Strong communication skills for effective remote collaboration with both technical and non-technical staff.
- Degree or HND in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
