Shift: 4 on 4 off - 2 Days, 2 Nights (6am-6pm / 6pm-6am)

Job Role of the Maintenance Engineer
A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Maintenance Engineer to join a growing, market-leading UK manufacturer. The Maintenance Engineer will carry out planned and reactive maintenance across a wide range of automated production machinery, covering electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults. The company offers an eight-week training and shadowing period and is happy to develop someone who is stronger in either electrical or mechanical engineering.
Non‑Negotiable Requirements of the Maintenance Engineer
- Hands‑on engineering experience within manufacturing, industrial maintenance, automotive or a similar environment.
- Electrical or mechanical fault‑finding experience.
Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across automated production machinery.
- Fault finding on motors, servo drives, conveyors, gearboxes, hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Reading and working from electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics.
- Supporting machinery installations, improvements and ongoing site expansion.
- A practical approach with the initiative to investigate and resolve faults independently.
Desirable Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer
- Electrical or mechanical engineering qualification.
- PLC fault‑finding experience.
- Previous experience maintaining automated manufacturing or packaging machinery.
