Key Responsibilities
- Execute planned preventative maintenance schedules for all critical machinery and plant equipment.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and breakdowns, diagnosing faults and implementing effective repair solutions.
- Perform routine inspections and identify potential issues before they lead to significant failures.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, parts used, and time spent.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with operations teams to optimize equipment performance and reduce unscheduled downtime.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar Maintenance Engineer role, with a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical manuals.
- Experience with fault finding, diagnostics, and repair of industrial machinery.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation relevant to a maintenance environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Based within or able to commute easily to Manchester .
