Job Description
Westwood Recruitment are currently working with a leading company to recruit an experienced Maintenance Engineer in Milton Keynes. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, performance and maintenance of high-speed printing, inserting and ancillary production equipment used to deliver critical documents for customers.
Key Responsibilities
* Set up, maintain and optimise production machinery in line with defined operating standards.
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) within agreed timescales and in accordance with health and safety requirements.
* Respond quickly and effectively to equipment breakdowns, carrying out fault diagnosis and repairs.
* Undertake hands-on analysis and structured problem solving to identify and resolve equipment issues.
* Support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the production environment.
* Maintain high standards of accuracy, reliability and equipment performance.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve production and engineering targets.
* Ensure all engineering activities are carried out with appropriate consideration for confidentiality, data security and workplace safety.
Experience & Qualifications
* Recognised engineering qualification, minimum NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or HNC equivalent
* Demonstrable experience in multi-skilled maintenance engineering
* Previous experience working within a fast-paced production or manufacturing environment
* 5+ years experience in Engineering, particularly within FMCG, pharmaceuticals or other high-speed manufacturing environments
* Electrical fault-finding experience
* Knowledge of COSHH, Health & Safety and environmental procedures
* Experience working within a highly regulated production environment
