Maintenance Engineer

Role: Maintenance Engineer

Location: Redditch

SRG are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Planning Engineer on a permanent basis, based in Redditch. As the Maintenance Planning Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining equipment performance, reducing downtime and ensuring maintenance activities are effectively planned, documented and executed.

This role offers a blend of maintenance administration and hands‑on mechanical engineering support.

Key responsibilities:

• Managing maintenance schedules, documentation and records
• Coordinating spare parts sourcing and procurement
• Supporting preventative maintenance programmes
• Assisting with equipment troubleshooting and breakdown response
• Tracking maintenance metrics and producing performance reports
• Maintaining asset management systems and equipment records
• Developing operating procedures and maintenance instructions
• Working with internal teams and external service providers
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations

Criteria:

• An engineering apprenticeship, HNC, HND or equivalent practical experience
• Previous maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment
• Strong troubleshooting and fault‑finding skills
• Experience maintaining a variety of production equipment
• The ability to create and maintain technical documentation and SOPs.
