Our client is seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to support their operations in Southampton . This critical role ensures the optimal performance and longevity of all plant machinery and equipment. You will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance, responding to equipment breakdowns, and implementing improvements to minimize downtime. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on production machinery and associated equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults promptly.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance schedules to minimize unexpected breakdowns.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are recorded accurately in the CMMS.
- Source and manage spare parts inventory to ensure availability.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations during maintenance activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and ideally pneumatic/hydraulic skills.
- Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
