About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to maintain the operational integrity of their state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Bradford . This hands-on role is crucial for minimizing downtime and ensuring all production machinery operates at peak efficiency. You will be responsible for routine maintenance, diagnosing and repairing faults, and implementing preventative maintenance schedules to avoid unexpected breakdowns. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical or electrical background and a commitment to safety and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all plant machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults promptly.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and ensure timely resolution to minimize production impact.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, parts used, and equipment status.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer or in a similar mechanical/electrical role.
- Strong understanding of industrial machinery and control systems.
- Proficiency in reading technical diagrams and schematics.
- Skilled in both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant technical qualification (e.g., NVQ, HNC) in engineering is preferred.
