About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Engineer to join their dedicated team at a busy manufacturing site in Stoke-on-Trent . You will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of all plant machinery and equipment through proactive maintenance, timely repairs, and effective troubleshooting. This role is crucial for minimizing downtime and maintaining production efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical and electrical background, with a commitment to safety and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on a wide range of manufacturing machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults efficiently.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and ensure rapid resolution to minimize production delays.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts inventory, and equipment history.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and contribute to a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing complex machinery.
- A strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Relevant technical qualifications or apprenticeship preferred.
