Our client is seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to join their manufacturing facility in Bristol . This critical role involves ensuring all plant machinery and equipment operates reliably and efficiently, minimizing downtime. You will be responsible for carrying out both planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs. This position is vital to the smooth running of our manufacturing and production operations and offers a stable career path in a key industrial region.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on all production machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults efficiently.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and ensure minimal disruption to production.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and parts inventory.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
Requirements
- Qualified Engineer with a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems.
- Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Skilled in troubleshooting and repairing complex machinery.
- Familiarity with PLCs and automated systems is a plus.
- Strong understanding of health and safety practices in an industrial setting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
