Maintenance Engineer

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join our client's engineering team in Leicester. This is a permanent full time job. The company is a supplier of machined and fabricated components. They have a global consumer base, and sub-contract work from some of the UK's largest companies.

Maintenance Engineer key job details:

• Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 15:00, 37.5 hours per week

• £35k salary

• Permanent job

• Company has a couple of sites in Leicester, some travel between them is a part of the role

Maintenance Engineer key responsibilities:

• Provide mechanical maintenance to a wide range of CNC and specialist machinery

• Mechanical repairs to gearboxes, bearings, shafts, drive chains, pumps and tanks

• Manage and resolve reactive breakdown repairs, reducing machine downtimes to a minimum

• As required carry out major refurbishment of plant, equipment and machinery

• PLC fault finding and interrogation

• Investigate reported faults, identify the cause and decide the necessary course of action to rectify the fault

• Planned preventative maintenance

• Comply with legal requirements and to work within Company health and safety guidelines

Maintenance Engineer person specification:

• HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering

• Experience of fault-finding and repairing CNC multi-axis machines

• Conversant with Fanuc & Siemens controls

• Good English skills (reading, verbal, written)

• Computer literate

• You must hold a UK driving licence and have your own car
