About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to join their established installation and maintenance team in Stoke-on-Trent . This hands-on role involves ensuring the optimal functioning and longevity of various equipment and systems through planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, and system diagnostics. You will play a key role in minimizing downtime and ensuring operational efficiency across client sites. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who is detail-oriented, possesses strong troubleshooting skills, and is committed to maintaining high standards of service and equipment reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on a wide range of equipment to identify and address potential issues before they cause failure.
- Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and breakdowns, diagnosing faults and implementing effective repairs.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, including parts used, time spent, and any recommendations for future work.
- Collaborate with the installation team to ensure new equipment is commissioned correctly and meets maintenance requirements.
- Operate diagnostic tools and testing equipment to assess system performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company safety policies and industry regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer or in a similar technical role focusing on equipment upkeep.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and possibly electronic troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and relevant software tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Must be able to travel to various client locations in and around Stoke-on-Trent .
