Maintenance Engineer

About the Role

You will be responsible for carrying out both preventative and reactive maintenance to minimize downtime and maintain high levels of operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on all production machinery and plant equipment according to schedule.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs.
• Install, commission, and test new machinery and equipment as required.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work performed and parts used.
• Collaborate with production teams to identify and address potential equipment issues before they cause significant disruption.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations related to maintenance operations.

Requirements

• Qualified Engineer with a strong background in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance.
• Proven experience in a similar maintenance engineering role within a manufacturing environment .
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing complex machinery, ideally within the food and beverage sector.
• Strong understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
