Maintenance Fitter - Edinburgh

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Fitter to ensure the optimal functionality of their equipment and facilities in Edinburgh . This role is essential for maintaining operational efficiency and safety standards. You will be responsible for carrying out a range of maintenance tasks, from routine servicing to complex repairs, working on a variety of mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment and machinery.
• Diagnose and repair faults in mechanical systems, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Assist with the installation and decommissioning of plant and equipment.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including parts and labour.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company procedures.
• Operate workshop machinery and tools safely and effectively.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter or in a similar mechanical role.
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles and systems, including hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical manuals.
• Skilled in using a variety of hand and power tools.
• A strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• Based in or able to commute easily to Edinburgh , with occasional travel required.
