Maintenance Fitter | £39,000 | Days Only (4 on / 4 off)

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter at any stage of their career - whether you're newly qualified, highly experienced, or simply looking to move into a days-only position.

The Role

• 70% mechanical / 30% electrical maintenance
• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdowns
• Fault finding, strip down, inspection and rebuild of machinery
• Electrical fault finding on wiring, motors and control panels
• Basic PLC fault diagnosis
• Installation, upgrades and commissioning of new equipment
• Working with hydraulic systems and lifting equipment
• MIG welding and racking repairs
• Maintenance of mechanical handling and production equipment
• Carrying out condition-based inspections (bearings, drives, alignment)
• Identifying and implementing improvements to reliability and performance

About You

We're keen to hear from candidates with a solid engineering foundation and a proactive approach:

• NVQ Level 3 in Engineering (or time-served equivalent)
• Strong mechanical / electro-mechanical fitting experience
• Confident fault finding on hydraulics, motors and control panels
• Basic knowledge of control systems and sensors
• Comfortable with physical work and occasional working at height
• Safety-conscious with a continuous improvement mindset

Shift Pattern

• 4 on / 4 off
• 6:00am - 6:00pm (days only - no nights)

Competitive salary of £39,000
