Overview

We are looking for a reliable and practical Maintenance Operative to support a student accommodation property in Leeds on a temporary basis. This hands‑on role involves carrying out basic maintenance, painting and cleaning duties to help ensure rooms and communal areas are maintained to a high standard.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Carry out minor painting and touch‑up work.
• Clean carpets using a Rug Doctor machine and appropriate cleaning chemicals.
• Complete basic maintenance tasks within student rooms, including repairing drawers and shower doors.
• Clean and maintain communal kitchen areas to a high standard.
• Report any maintenance issues that require further attention.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in a maintenance or caretaking role.
• Basic DIY and repair skills.
• Experience using cleaning equipment and chemicals is desirable.
• Able to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Reliable with a strong attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and a positive, flexible approach to work.
