Hours : 37 hours per week over 52 weeks per year
Shift hours : Flexiable working typically between the hours of 7:30am-6pm Monday to Friday with occassion weekend and evening work

About the role
As Maintenance Supervisor, you will support the Facilities Manager in maintaining the Conway Centre's buildings, grounds and activity infrastructure. This is a varied, hands-on role combining practical maintenance work with the supervision of a small maintenance team. You'll be involved in planned maintenance, improvement projects and reactive repairs, helping to keep our busy outdoor education centre safe, compliant and operational.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support a small maintenance team while remaining actively involved in hands-on maintenance work.
- Carry out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across buildings, grounds and site infrastructure.
- Undertake multi-skilled maintenance tasks including general building repairs, carpentry and basic plumbing.
- Support planned preventative maintenance programmes, inspections, safety checks and maintenance record keeping.
- Support the maintenance and upkeep of outdoor activity areas and structures.
- Work with contractors and other departments to resolve maintenance issues and support site operations.
- Promote safe working practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance standards and systems.
- Flexible working is a requirement of the role, including occasional evening and weekend working.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Experience leading, coordinating or supporting the work of others.
- Relevant trade qualification or equivalent practical experience in facilities, building or site maintenance.
- Good practical maintenance skills across a range of disciplines.
- Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with colleagues, contractors and site users.
- Ability to prioritise work and manage time effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good standard of literacy and numeracy.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Comfortable working at height.
Desirable
- Health and Safety qualification such as IOSH Working Safely.
- Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems.
- Experience of maintaining inspection records and compliance documentation.
- Experience maintaining outdoor activity areas, equipment or structures.
