Maintenance Technician - Facilities

About the Role

Our client is seeking a versatile and experienced Maintenance Technician to manage the upkeep of facilities in Cambridge . This role is integral to ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our client's premises, involving a broad range of maintenance and repair tasks. You will be responsible for preventative maintenance, responding to repair requests, and ensuring all building systems are in good working order. This is a hands-on position for a skilled individual who takes pride in their work and contributes to a well-maintained and safe working environment for all employees in the Cambridgeshire area.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on building systems, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and execute necessary repairs to minimise disruption.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to building fabric, fixtures, and equipment.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
• Assist with minor installations and modifications to facilities as required.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a facilities maintenance or building services role.
• Skilled in one or more trades, such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or HVAC.
• Ability to diagnose and repair a variety of building systems and equipment.
• Good understanding of health and safety principles within a facilities environment.
• Effective time management and problem-solving skills.
• A valid UK driving licence is desirable for potential site visits.
