Maintenance Technician - Industrial

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Maintenance Technician to join their industrial operations team in Cardiff . This role is integral to ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of our production facilities by maintaining machinery and equipment. You will be responsible for both preventative and reactive maintenance, diagnosing faults, and implementing effective repairs to minimize downtime. Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on a variety of industrial machinery and equipment.
• Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions, diagnose issues, and carry out necessary repairs.
• Read and interpret technical manuals , blueprints, and schematics to guide maintenance and repair activities.
• Conduct safety checks and ensure all machinery operates within safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, parts inventory, and service reports.
• Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment as required.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in an industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to use a range of tools and diagnostic equipment effectively.
• Understanding of health and safety procedures in an industrial environment.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• A relevant technical qualification (e.g., NVQ, HNC) is advantageous.
