About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of their manufacturing plant in Leeds . You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of production machinery and associated equipment. This hands-on role requires a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. It's a critical position that directly impacts production uptime and efficiency, offering a stable and engaging career in a busy industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on all plant machinery and equipment according to schedule.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults on production lines.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and ensure minimal disruption to production.
- Install and commission new machinery and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and parts inventory.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
Requirements
- Completed apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical control systems .
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
