Maintenance Technician

Overview We are seeking to recruit a Multi-skilled Maintenance Technician to join an established service provider to the health and hospitality sector across the UK and Ireland. As part of a growing operation, they're looking to strengthen their engineering team with a versatile, trade-qualified Maintenance Technician to help keep their busy production facility running smoothly. This is a hands-on, varied role within a small, close-knit engineering team, ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving and thrives in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. Responsibilities Provide multi-skilled engineering and maintenance cover across the full production facility. Carry out routine, preventative, and reactive maintenance in line with the site plan. Diagnose faults quickly and complete repairs to minimise production downtime. Investigate breakdowns and conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurrence. Maintain, calibrate, and repair plant, equipment, and utilities across the site. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, motors, and control circuits. Keep accurate records of maintenance activity, faults, and spares for compliance and audit purposes. Manage spares stock and flag any shortfalls to management. Criteria Trade-qualified, multi-skilled maintenance engineer with mechanical bias and some electrical knowledge. Proven track record in a fast-paced production environment. Conversant with PLCs. Strong communication skills and a proactive, can-do attitude. Comfortable working shifts, including some weekend cover. Background FMCG environment is an advantage.
