About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join their operational team based in Birmingham . This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth running and upkeep of industrial machinery and facilities. You will be responsible for executing planned maintenance schedules, responding to breakdowns, and carrying out repairs to keep operations at peak efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on a variety of industrial equipment and plant machinery.
- Respond efficiently to equipment malfunctions and breakdowns, diagnosing faults and carrying out necessary repairs.
- Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to guide maintenance and repair activities.
- Conduct safety checks and ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, parts inventory, and equipment performance.
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new machinery as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar industrial maintenance role.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to work with various tools and equipment.
- Familiarity with health and safety procedures in an industrial setting.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Good problem-solving skills and the capacity to work independently or as part of a team.
- Experience working in the Birmingham industrial area is a plus.
