About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join their operations team in Stoke-on-Trent . You will be responsible for ensuring the optimal functionality and uptime of all plant machinery and equipment through preventative and corrective maintenance. This hands-on role is essential for minimizing downtime and maintaining a safe, efficient working environment on the factory floor. The ideal candidate possesses strong diagnostic skills and a proactive approach to equipment upkeep, ensuring smooth production continuity.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on all manufacturing machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on production equipment.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and ensure timely repairs to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, parts used, and equipment history.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems .
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and maintenance equipment.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
