Maintenance Technician

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to ensure the optimal functioning of their production equipment at their facility in Brighton . This hands-on role is vital for minimizing downtime and maximizing operational efficiency through effective preventative and reactive maintenance. You will be responsible for troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, performing repairs, and conducting routine inspections. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a commitment to maintaining a safe and reliable working environment, contributing directly to the consistent output of high-quality manufactured goods.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on all production machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults in a timely manner.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and provide immediate technical support to minimize downtime.
• Install and commission new equipment as required.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and promote safe working practices within the maintenance team.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Experience with welding and fabrication is a plus.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
