Maintenance Technician – Manufacturing
Location: Bridgwater, Somerset
Salary: Up to £42,000
Hours: Alternating shifts – Mon-Thurs 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm; Fri 6am-1pm / 1pm-8pm
Bonus: Up to 4%
Contract: Permanent
The Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join an established manufacturing organisation in Bridgwater.
You will work as part of a skilled maintenance team, carrying out planned preventative maintenance, reactive breakdown repairs and fault-finding across a range of manufacturing equipment.
Key Responsibilities
*
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production machinery.
*
Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical and electromechanical faults.
*
Fault-find using electrical drawings and technical documentation.
*
Maintain motors, drives, sensors, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
*
Respond to breakdowns and minimise production downtime.
*
Support machinery installation, modifications and improvement projects.
*
Maintain accurate maintenance records.
*
Work closely with Production and Engineering teams to improve equipment reliability.
*
Follow all relevant health & safety procedures.
About You
The successful candidate will have a strong practical maintenance background within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
You should have experience in:
*
Electrical and mechanical maintenance.
*
Industrial machinery and production equipment.
*
Electrical fault-finding and diagnostics.
*
Planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
*
Pneumatic and/or hydraulic systems.
*
Reading electrical and mechanical drawings.
Relevant qualifications such as NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC/HND or equivalent are advantageous.
Package
*
Salary up to £42,000 depending on experience.
*
Up to 4% bonus.
*
