About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and versatile Maintenance Technician to join their facility in Plymouth . You will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and preventative maintenance of all manufacturing machinery and facility equipment to ensure minimal downtime and optimal operational efficiency. This role involves diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues, as well as implementing proactive maintenance strategies. You will work collaboratively with the production team to address equipment needs and contribute to a safe and productive working environment. Some hybrid working flexibility is offered, balancing on-site needs with remote administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all production machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on machinery.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency repair requests.
- Install, test, and commission new machinery and equipment.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations in all maintenance activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs and systems.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to maintenance operations.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
