Maintenance Technician

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to support their manufacturing operations in Nottingham . This role is vital for ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of all production machinery and facility equipment. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, diagnosing and repairing equipment failures, and implementing preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all production machinery and facility systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on production equipment.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution of equipment breakdowns.
• Install and commission new machinery and equipment as required.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts usage, and equipment history.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations during maintenance operations.
• Assist in developing and improving preventative maintenance schedules and procedures.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and control systems is essential.
• Proficiency with a variety of hand and power tools.
• A strong commitment to safety and quality.
• Relevant vocational training or certification is highly desirable.
