Maintenance Technician

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join their busy manufacturing plant in Bradford . This role is vital for ensuring the smooth and continuous operation of all production machinery and facility equipment. You will be responsible for carrying out preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing equipment failures, and ensuring a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical and electrical skills, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and a commitment to minimising downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on all production machinery and equipment to minimise breakdowns.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system faults efficiently.
• Respond promptly to equipment failure calls and implement corrective actions.
• Read and interpret schematics , blueprints, and technical manuals to aid in repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, parts used, and time spent.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations during maintenance operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex machinery.
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings and schematics .
• A relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship would be advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
