Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
The Maintrol Engineer will act as the central coordination point between Line Stations, third-party maintenance providers and pilots to ensure safe and reliable daily operations. Responsibilities include:
Managing scheduled and unscheduled Line Maintenance activities, ensuring full compliance with regulatory and maintenance programme requirements
Controlling and monitoring Acceptable Deferred Defects (ADDs), driving timely rectification and coordinating required spares, tooling and documentation
Supporting aircraft recovery through technical guidance, logistics coordination and oversight of crew duty-time limitations
Providing real-time technical assistance to flight crews and engineers during in-flight or ground-based operational issues
Coordinating information flow following aircraft incidents and contributing to recovery planning
Allocating aircraft in line with operational, engineering, and maintenance priorities
Improving aircraft and Engineering performance through proactive use of aircraft monitoring and prognostic tools
Providing specialist technical support as required with due regard for safety, technical, regulatory, and commercial requirements
Job Requirements:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to interpret complex technical information
Effective influencing and communication skills
High level of situational awareness and decision-making capability
Ability to prioritise and manage workload in a high-pressure operational environment
Collaborative approach with internal and external stakeholders
Professional courage and sound technical judgement
UK/EASA Part-66 B1 or B2 Licence
Experience in a maintenance or maintenance-control environment
Proven ability to deliver cost-effective solutions
Experience improving efficiency and reducing operational costs
Strong attention to detail and adherence to processes
Good understanding of airline operations and procedures
Computer literate, ideally with experience in MS Office and maintenance systems
Experience working on Embraer 170/190 or similar technology aircraft is desirable but not essential
