About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Major Donor Relationship Manager to cultivate significant philanthropic support in the Plymouth region and beyond. This senior role is integral to securing the large-scale funding necessary to drive our charitable mission forward. You will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and stewarding relationships with high-net-worth individuals, building strong connections and inspiring them to make substantial contributions, working flexibly across both office and remote environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, research, and cultivate potential major donors with the capacity and inclination to give significant gifts.
- Develop and implement tailored strategies for engaging and stewarding major donor relationships.
- Plan and execute high-level cultivation events and personalized communication plans.
- Work closely with senior leadership and the fundraising team to present compelling cases for support.
- Manage a portfolio of major donors, ensuring effective stewardship and maximizing giving potential.
- Track donor interactions, donations, and communications in the CRM database.
Requirements
- Proven track record in major donor fundraising or high-value relationship management, ideally in the charity sector .
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport and trust with individuals at all levels.
- Experience in developing and executing successful fundraising strategies and campaigns.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and data analysis.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, balancing office-based and remote duties.
